A 54-year old man from Michigan was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and battery after he hit a female friend in the head, breaking her glasses. It seems while playing a game of Monopoly, he got upset when she refused to sell Park Place and Boardwalk to him.
That seems a bit extreme to me.
Although there was this one time when I was playing the game Risk with my brothers when I invaded Irkutsk and one of them threw his red dice at me. But it never really game to blows and police didn’t need to be called.

FRASER, Mich. — A game of Monopoly has landed a Michigan man in jail. WDIV-TV reported a 54-year-old man was playing the board game Saturday night with a female friend when he tried to buy Park Place and Boardwalk from her.
When she refused, Fraser police Lt. Dan Kolke told WWJ-AM he hit her in the head, breaking her glasses.
The man was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and battery.
